New tracker dog for KZN reserves
SUPPORT FOR NEW TRACKER DOG FOR PROJECT RHINO KZN BFBR has funded 70% of the costs of a new tracker dog for Project rhino which
BFBR is a purely volunteer run, UK based charity who’s main aim is to support African wildlife and endangered species.
We raise funds to assist rhino orphanages and other wildlife rehabilitation centres in Southern Africa.
Funds are also used to aid antipoaching operations via ranger support and K-9 support.
Additionally we fund operations such as snare removals or emergency relocation of animals that find themselves outside of the national parks and in danger.
Fund raising is done through social media campaigns, local markets, fairs and raffles. Many of our supporters are crafters and so we are able to help by supplying orphanages and rangers with knitted and crochet blankets and clothing.
Additionally we have supported impoverished communities bordering wildlife reserves in an attempt to educate local people about the value of their local wildlife.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
We welcome anyone who is willing to help us be it via donations or fundraising, crafting blankets and clothing, help with transport of items to South Africa or help with graphics or IT issues. Our closed Facebook group provides information and support for those wishing to join. We appreciate all help and this group would not survive without it. If you would like to be part of Blankets for Baby Rhinos, please request to join our Facebook group. You will be asked a short series of questions.
Please contact us if you would like more information.
